What is First Drop?
This is our first drop of Australian Lager. While we have brewed lagers before, this is the first batch of this beer.
What are the prizes you can win?
The first valid entry drawn in Draw 1 will win 6 x cases of Coopers Australian Lager* and 1 x oil painting (total value of $452).
The first valid entry drawn in Draw 2 will win 12 x cases of Coopers Australian Lager* (total value of $804).
The first valid entry drawn in Draw 3 will win 12 x cases of Coopers Australian Lager* and 1 x storage vessel for beer (which is in the shape of a Tinny) (total value of $1,304).
There are also a total of two hundred (200) instant prizes to be won, which will be random allocated to provisional winners throughout the Promotional Period. These prizes are:
25 x Australian Lager* cases (valued at $67 each);
25 x Australian Lager T-shirts (valued at $30 each); and
150 x Australian Lager* 6 packs (valued at $24 each).
*NSW winners will receive the equivalent value in Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard
When will a winner be announced?
All winners will be contacted within 2 business days from the date of the draws. We have 3 draws in total for the main prizes:
- Draw 1: Winners contacted by 6th September and published online by 11th September,
- Draw 2: Winners contacted by 20th September and published online 25th September and the final draw,
- Draw 3: Winners contacted by 3rd October and published 10th October.
Can we swap lager for Pale Ale in the prize?
We love that you are such a Coopers Original Pale Ale fan, but for this promotion the prize is Coopers Australian Lager as we are celebrating its launch. If you've bought Australian Lager, then the competition is well worth entering.
I'm in NSW what can I win?
For all NSW entrants the rules are a little different as no more than 20 litres of alcohol can be won due to regulations. So once/if 20 litres of alcohol have been won by New South Wales residents, cash will be awarded in lieu of the remaining alcohol prize(s). This portion of the prize will be in the form of a Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard® gift card.
How can I enter the First drop competition?
It is simple to enter our Coopers Australian Lager competition. You will need to purchase either a single 375ml can, a 6-pack cluster or a 24-pack carton, so long as the product is specially marked as “First Drop” on the base of the can(s). Please retain your proof of purchase as you will need to upload that to the site along with a clear photo of the base of your First Drop product clearly showing the timestamp. You can also see if you are an instant winner if you don't have the listed time stamp so well worth entering. GOOD LUCK!
Can I buy beer from anywhere to enter?
Yes, you can! You will always need keep your proof of purchase from the retailer to include in your entry but that can be from any retailer of your choice.
Can I use my Original Pale Ale (or any other Coopers beer) time stamp to enter?
You can only use Coopers Australian Lager cans with FIRST DROP printed on the bottom along with the timestamp to enter. Using Original Pale Ale won't be a valid entry.
Can I win if I don't have that time stamp?
Yes, you can win one of our instant win prizes even if your timestamp is not one of the featured timestamps listed on our site.
What's the latest I can enter? / When does the competition close?
The Coopers Australian Lager First Drop competition will have 3 draws.
- Draw 1 closes 11:59pm AEST on 03/09/23,
- Draw 2 closes at 11:59pm AEST on 17/09/23
- Draw 3 closes at 11:59pm AEST on 01/10/23.
So, your very last chance to enter will be before 11:59pm AEDT on 01/10/23.
